On December 8, 2021, the General Administration of Customs took emergency preventive measures against a Burmese company, due to the positive nucleic acid test of SARS-Cov-2 in 2 samples of 2 batches of frozen hairtail from Myanmar. The national customs suspended the acceptance of Burmese seafood manufacturer Ocean World Coldstore (Registered number: YGN/132/OW/DOF) import declaration for 4 weeks from December 8, 2021. Product declaration will resume automatically after expiration.
